Ladies' Code to hold tribute gig
ROOKIE South Korean girl group Ladies' Code will perform in Tokyo in August in memory of late members RiSe and Eunbi, who died last year in a car accident.
Just two years after debuting, tragedy struck the two artists in their early twenties died on a rainy night in September, when their van skidded and struck a protective wall.
Eunbi, 21, died at the scene, while RiSe, just a month shy of her 23rd birthday, was hospitalised for five days in a coma before passing away.
The remaining trio of Ladies' Code will hold a tribute concert to remember their late bandmates at Tokyo's Shinagawa Stellar Ball on Aug 22.
Polaris Entertainment, Ladies' Code's agency, said it had been the girls' dream to perform in Japan as a group, and that this would be an occasion to posthumously fulfil their wish.
RiSe and Eunbi's groupmates and labelmates will take to the stage, along with several other idol group members who were acquainted with the pair.
All profits made from this concert will be donated to charities or used to commemorate RiSe and Eunbi.
