    Fish-head curry, lemon tarts and DIY frappes

    From Penang-style oyster omelettes to pineapple upside-down cake, take your pick from these newly opened eateries:


    Resorts World Sentosa's Malaysian Food Street has been refreshed with five new stalls, selected based on diners' feedback.

    They are Penang Curry Mee ($5.50), with noodles in a coconut-based soup, prawns, cuttlefish, tau pok, beansprouts and a fiery homemade sambal; Oh Chien ($8) or Penang-style oyster omelette; Char Koay Kak ($5.50), which is Penang's version of chye tow kueh, fried with prawns and black sauce; Penang Fruit Rojak ($4.50); and Fish Head Curry ($28 a claypot, additional charge for rice, toasts or roti canai on the side), which has sea bream stewed with tamarind, curry leaves, lady's fingers, tomatoes and onions.

    Head to two-week-old patisserie-cafe Tart Blanc at Millenia Walk for sweet treats or hearty sandwiches and pitas that include fillings such as pulled pork, tandoori chicken and rosemary lamb ($8.50 each).

    For dessert, indulge in French-style tarts such as a Lemon Blackberry Tart with lemon curd, housemade blackberry jam and lemon cream ($7); a Banana Chocolate Silk Tart with marinated banana, caramel sauce, roasted-banana cream and chocolate-silk cream ($7); or a Pumpkin Crack Tart ($7.50) made with brown-sugar custard, toasted pecans, pumpkin cream and candied pecans.

    Pair your bakes and brews at this new cafe. Baked treats include brownies with cream-cheese frosting, peanut-butter candy-bar pie, lemony peppermint pie and pineapple upside-down cake.

    While various coffee brews are available, the El Chemist station invites diners to mix their own Frappe blends ($5.90) with a range of nut and fruit syrups.
