    Dual-genre RPG for hardcore gamers

     Heroes Of Honor

HEROES Of Honor was the last entry in our list of nominees as it was launched only in December.

The founders of the studio behind the game are Finnish, but they decided to set up shop in Singapore to launch their first major game, flushed with the US$3 million (S$3.8 million) of funding they secured from venture capitalists.

A cross of two popular genres, Heroes follows the popular castle-building and raiding style of Clash Of Clans.

But when it comes to combat, it follows the army-building style of Heroes Of Might And Magic, where you control individual heroes with their own group of creatures and soldiers.

The game earned the rare distinction of winning an Editor's Choice rating from Apple on its App Store.

Heroes Of Honor may not be easy to pick up for casual users, but it has the potential to be a top-grossing game if more hardcore gamers jump on the bandwagon.
