Depp, Cotillard to star in movie linked to disgraced IMF head
JOHNNY Depp and Marion Cotillard are set to star in a movie inspired by the scandal that brought down the former head of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
The film, titled The Libertine, will be directed by Brett Ratner and is "loosely based on the DSK incident", Ratner's spokesman Kate Rosenbaum told Agence France-Presse.
Several media reports said Depp will play a character based on the disgraced former French politician, who stepped down as head of the IMF after he was accused of assaulting a hotel maid in 2011.
It is unclear what role Cotillard will take on in the project.
