Chance to see S'pore's best dance crews

TIRED of the same old moves on the nightclub floor? Need ideas to spice up your dance routine?

Then head to VivoCity tomorrow afternoon for the preliminaries of Singapore Dance Delight Vol. 5 and catch some of the nation's best dance crews in action.

The event, which is presented by F&N Sparkling Drinks and organised by O School, is the Singapore version of the international street dance competition from Japan - Dance Delight.

Dance Delight started in Osaka and has grown to become Asia's most prestigious street dance competition.

Enjoy the eye-popping routines and edgy costumes of the youthful crews and cheer them on from the sidelines at VivoCity's amphitheatre from 4.30pm.

With crews like Freekzy Bots (second runner-up of Singapore Dance Delight Vol. 4 last year) and All Out Crew (last year's finalists who are being trained by Terence from past champions Joyce and the Boys), competition is expected to be stiff.

There are 48 teams entered in the preliminaries. The top 15 will join three crews each from Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand at the 24-team finals on May 10 at Kallang Theatre.

The winner of the Singapore Dance Delight Vol. 5 Finals will be sponsored by F&N to compete in Japan Dance Delight Vol. 21, to be held on Aug 31 in Osaka.
