WOO'S PORK CHOP RICEBOX
THE star of this bento set is the pork chop - a chewy, wafer-thin slice measuring slightly less than 1cm in thickness.
Biting into it, you will taste a hint of savoury spices - the exact ingredients are unknown as the pork chops are marinated in a secret batter and deep-fried.
WOO'S HEALTHY RICEBOX
THIS healthy alternative features a five-grain rice mix of white rice, buckwheat, barley, millet and black glutinous rice. It is served with sliced braised pork chop and a braised egg, as well as a slice of Taiwanese-style braised tofu, which was a tad too dry for my liking.
What appealed to me were the greens, which I polished off in a jiffy, wishing there was more to savour of the sweet, crunchy sauteed cabbage and broccoli.
SALT AND PEPPER POPCORN CHICKEN
THIS crispy Taiwanese street snack, available only from 3pm to 5pm on weekdays, could give a particular fast-food chain that serves similar chicken bites a run for its money.
This version is served up in meaty chunks sprinkled with salt and pepper that gives the snack that extra flavoursome kick.
